Great Bridge Child Care has two licensed daycare centers in Chesapeake, Virginia—but it’s unlike any child care facility you’ve ever seen! At both of our Chesapeake child care centers, experienced teachers use hands-on activities to teach children core academic skills that will help them excel in school and throughout life. At various ages, children learn:

Children also gain a familiarity with technology through interactive computer exercises and outside resource professionals brought in to teach. Children at Great Bridge Child Care even learn basic journal-keeping. And by learning to follow directions and complete a page in a workbook, children are better prepared for learning in a structured classroom environment.

At both Great Bridge Child Care centers, access to the building is private and secure. We have security for our centers protecting all classrooms to ensure children’s safety and security. But there’s still plenty of room for fun: We're also proud of the enrichment opportunities we offer—from young toddlers through preschool-age children. Our children are exposed to diverse musical styles as well as dance, movement, yoga, the performing arts, science and even a program on philanthropy. With our focus on developing the whole child, we also offer instruction in social skills such as manners, sharing and showing respect to others.
